It’s hard to tell because I didn’t include many details.
However, I think the system interprets your Method description.md file as an application/x-tex file.
Perhaps you only included Latex tokens?

I was able to reproduce and resolve the issue.
If you started the file with a \documentclass or other LaTeX token, the system would correctly, though unexpectedly, detect it as a LaTeX file. This is something that our system did not handle very well internally for the submission check.

when will be the leaderboard gets updated?

for Crunch 1 , if we submit any model till 28th feb , Will we able to see score or not ? and when will the new data for Crunch 2 will be provided?
For Crunch 1, we will publish the scores at the end of the competition. You will then have a few days to select the submission you want used for the Out of Sample phase.
The leaderboard will be released one or two weeks after that. We need time to run everyone’s model and contact the top 15 to 20 on the leaderboard to ensure that the top 10 accept their prizes.
