ADIA Lab Structural Breaks Challenge: Closing Chapter
We wrapped up the Structural Breaks Challenge! Thousands of submissions tested the limits of regime shift detection in time series. Final evaluation is underway, and winners will be officially announced during the ADIA Lab Symposium.
Please note that you have time until Oct 2nd, at 4pm UTC to select your final model. If you do not, the last one will be used. This ensures that crunchers with ongoing runs can select their very last attempt.

Welcome Jennifer Morrison – Our New CMO
We’re thrilled to announce that Jennifer Morrison has joined Crunch as our new Chief Marketing Officer
Jennifer brings 15+ years of marketing leadership across tech and Web3, including roles as CMO at Truflation, Manta Network, and Toposware (acquired by Polygon). She’ll be leading and shaping Crunch’s GTM strategy and leading our marketing team as we scale into the next chapter.
Cruncher Spotlight – Jingzhe Ma
We are proud to feature cruncher Jingzhe Ma - Senior Data Science/AI Scientist at Xellar Biosystems and a top participant in the Autoimmune Disease Crunch 2.
Her work combined computer vision and spatial biology to predict 2,000 unmeasured genes, a powerful demonstration of how ML can transform biomedical research.
R Library Integration
Big news for R users: the Crunch ecosystem now supports R library integration. This opens new doors for quants and data scientists working in R to seamlessly connect with Crunch pipelines.

Broad Challenge: Lab Phase Update
The Eric and Wendy Schmidt Center at the Broad Institute of MIT & Harvard has officially moved the Autoimmune Disease ML Challenge into the experimental validation phase.
Custom gene panels have been ordered, and wet-lab experiments are starting soon. Real-world testing of Crunchers’ models is officially underway
Closing Thoughts
From kicking off wet-lab validation at the Broad Institute to hitting 10,000+ Crunchers, September has shown just how far this community has come. That being said, the next month is already looking stacked with announcements, results, and new challenges and some big news.
